The clay-sandstone terroir of the Kaefferkopf gives this wine a pure, complex, mineral nose with notes of noble vegetal (gentian, etc.). The palate is at the same time fleshy, powerful, tense and mineral (with a slight bitterness conferred by the sandstone). It is a very beautiful wine for laying down which will develop the noble notes of "petrol" typical of this terroir.
