Color: Shiny ruby red with burgundy red tints. Smell: Herbaceous, tannic, strong, vanilla and "fumè" hints, lightly tannic, fruity. Taste: Dry, warm, quite fresh, tasty, smooth. To be served with: Strong meat, game and wild fowl, meat grills, tasty (but not strong) cheese.
