The 2019 Crianza is 100% Tempranillo sourced from San Vicente de la Sonsierra and Abalos, Rioja Alta. Aged for 14 months in used American and French barrels (50/50), this purple wine showcases aromas of blackberry and blueberry, with hints of vanilla and coconut against an oak backdrop. Dry and juicy, the grippy palate lingers with a chalky texture, presenting a balanced expression of Rioja.

Aromas of black currant and sauteed portobello mushroom lead the way for cassis, blackberry, charcuterie, black-olive paste, smoke, dried thyme and caramel flavors. While the flavor profile leans towards savory rather than fruit-dominant, sturdy tannins and well-balanced acidity make for a nice pour.
